I have a question:
As most of the EB folks are in the system Will EB3 ever get a chance to dip in to the ROW pool of visas?
What I mean is and correct me if I am wrong; In last quarter of every years any remaining visas from ROW will be used by countries like India/China. However the order of preference is Eb1, EB2 and if any visas are left then EB3. If so them till every Eb1 and EB2 in the system are approved EB3 may not get any additional visas other that the regular quota, RIGHT?
So there is fair chance that all EB1 and EB2 will get cleared soon and EB3 will be stuck for ever.:confused:

There are hardly any efforts now to do targetted email & phone campaigns now. This costs no money, and very little time.
I had called up Senator John Coryn's office. They told me that currently immigration bills are going nowhere. The Senator still has plans to introduce SKILL bill, but exactly when that will happen is not certain.

because many of the IOs are dumb high school grads with some additional training. They have been told that 2006 is current and so they pick all and only 2006.
is there any way we can get DOS to specifically state that 2006 and all prior years ARE CURRENT instead of just throwing out a current PD in a VB?
Thankfully, not all IOs are so dumb, hence the few pre-2006 approvals. What else could explain this anomaly..... :mad:

Boy, you cant wait for EAD ...:) I don't blame ya for that, I think in case of July 2nd you should count from the date when your check gets cashed. In case of July filers we should not be surprised if EADs and APs take more than 6 months being on cynical side.

Online search would give a bunch of sites… you know your insurance needs for you/family better than anyone….You may find one or many but trade-offs are inevitable... make sure to compare the new insurance that you will be buying against the one you have to validate coverage...

One of the IV member recieved a phone call from Ombudsman office and is as follows.

I received a phone call (WOW!) from a sweet lady from CIS Ombudsman's office. I sent letters to his office and in the letter I mentioned my cell #. Anyway she wants a real person who got deniel. I told her that my friend got deniel (IVens are my fried). Anyway, she sent an email too after I asked her to give her info so that my friend can send her his case details. Unfortunately, the email I received shortly after the conversation, looks like general and does not have her ID. Please PM me if you like to hear more about the phone call.

I am EB3 (Aug 07) because of my lawyer�s mistake; but in June they asked for further medical testing, it can be a good sign they are looking into EB3.

I could find this useful. I am in my 6th year expiring June 1, 2007. My employers are just about to file LC, so I guess being able to process I140 by premium will enable me file for a three year extension before my current stay expires.
May be they did it for those who are in 6th year and did not file LC 365 day before 6 year expiry.. Now they can file LC in perm get approval fast and then get Premium 140 to get 3 year extension on H1B.

This is weird. I thought a lot of people have got EAD but did not get AP. Of course some people have got both. Can anyone shed some light on how they approve AP? In what order? I believe quite some people have travel plan during the coming months.
Is this something to be concerned about, getting AP before EAD , both are of course 124 days since receipt date.

i predict the november 2008 visa bulletin will come out on monday, october 13,2008. however, even if all categories will become current, it is still useless as the processing dates of the different service centers have processing times of july 2007. hence, almost everybody will not be able to have their papers processed.

Please consult a lawyer - She is now AOS and should not go back to H4 as that can mean she is abandoning her AOS which I am sure you dont want. I would not even recommend getting H4 stamped in her passport. ( same reason). I am in the same boat and my wife is using EAD - My lawyer did not process her H4 extension and only processed my H1 extension.
Again - please consult a lawyer

There is no law/rule that even remotely suggests that getting an H visa means abandoning the AOS. My 485 was denied and had to get H1/H4 for me/my wife. There are hundreds of folks on this forum who extend/stamped their H1/H4 even when they had AOS.

Use the one with the 08 expiry date. This is what I did and prefilled it before I gave it the doc. Point out the OMB expiry date to him incase he is making trouble!
