There will be no issue in entering US as you got the visa stamp till Dec 1st 2007.
Visa stamp is just to allow a person to enter US. They don't care whether it is with current employer or old employer. They just need valid visa stamp and latest I-797 approval notice of same classification. I.e. if you have H1B visa stamp and you need to have only H1B approval notice. You cannot have B1 visa stamp and use H1B approval notice.

They will give I-94 with the end date there on latest approval. Thats for sure. But just check what date he/she is putting on I-94.

Why not use people who already agreed to volunteer before by looking at their profiles?
Unfortunately we need folks who are active on the forums (and hence must have read this thread).
Also, we did not really clarify what a volunteer does (when someone registers), so to ensure that only folks who are really interested reply.

Hi, Yes I have a EB3 (even that I have a Masters degree and 6 years of experience) as my job only required a BS degree etc when I started working. So my understanding is now that what ever I do I need to get a new Labor/PERM and a new position within my company that requires MS degree etc that would qualify for EB2. Even if my I-140 gets approved within reasonable time I still have to wait in eternity for my date to be current under EB3? (the last time I looked back on the previous visa bulletins it looked like it was 2 years ago the EB3 was current (or PD 05 or something). That means that I will have to wait maybe 3-5 years before I can even apply for the I-485? Even that I do have the requirements for a EB2 and my company would have no issues qualifying my job to require a MS degree.

Currently moved to a different company B that transfered H1B.I have my EAD that is not been used till now. Can I use my EAD to work on a part-time job. If I use are there any issues with H1B with my current employer or any issues while travellling. As I no longer work with the company that sponspored GC would working on a part-time EAD with another company create any problem with the GC process.

The current events starting from a rumor has caused frustration in our members. The news coming out of AILA got us into action and we are working on trying to prevent this visa bulletin disaster to happen for our members. Due to weekend, There are less opportunities to pursue but we are not taking this as an excuse and please know that IV is working this weekend and have been working ever since we heard about this news and are using all measures and contacts at the appropriate levels of government to help our members. Kothuri you are most helpful. I agree and think I will benefit from filing one, but am concerned about the cost involved doing so.
I currently cannot rely on my former employers lawyer and will have to pay for this myself.

Effective June 2007, any agreement relating to recovering immigration fees from employees, or asking them to work for specific period after getting GC, are illegal. You can find details on the following link.

There are lot of people both ahead and behind you (of course with their own set of prayers), some get RFE's some don't. But yes as of this writing and at least for this year GC journey is going to be hard and very slow.

This should also act as an eyeopener for those people on H-1B who are just about now starting their GC process. Such people can forget getting a GC for the next 12-15 years.
If you are young (in late 20s), you should reevaluate this whole idea of coming here on EB GC. It maynot be worth the wait and the suffering.

I got the RFE on my I485(PD:May 2002 - India- EB3- I140 approved on jan-2009) application. The query is,
The birth certificate you submitted has a delayed registration. Please comply with the following.
a) Hospital birth records which name the child and both parents.
b) Medical records which name the child and both parents
c)school records which name the child and bother parents.
d) Census records which name the child and both parents.
c) Religious records in the form of a certificate under the seal of the organization where the baptism, dedication, presentation or comparable e rite occurred following the birth,showing the date and place of the child's birth, the date of the religious ceremony, and the name of the child's parents.
I have the transfer certificate and the mark statements that has the father's name, my name and the date of birth. In general, schools and colleges in india, don't include the mother's name. Also i born at home, i don't have any hospital birth records and medical records. I am totally confused what records i need to provide to USCIS. I discussed some famous attorney, they too encouraging me to get any form of documents with my mother name back home in india. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your early reply

What you can do is get a non-availability letter stating that your birth record is not available from local Panchyat or Municipals authorities. Then you can submit sworn affidavit executed by either the parents, if living, or other close relatives older than the applicant
